Last week Dr. Lehmann, Executive Director of the Center for Leading Innovation and Cooperation, upon invitation by the Chinese Institute of Electronics and ZDNet China presented as a keynote speaker at the 7th China Cloud Computing Conference in Beijing about “Industry 4.0 in Germany”. Her presentation did not only highlight the key drivers and barriers for implementing Industry 4.0. It also stressed the important role of the individual worker for successful Industry 4.0 strategies. Recent research results from the project “S-CPS: Socio-Cyber-Physical Systems” provided important insides on how to successfully organize the interaction and collaboration between humans and smart objects for Industry 4.0 with the human individual at the core of the Industry 4.0 concept. The conference with about 2000 participants brought together audience from the IT, manufacturing and trade industry with science experts from various disciplines.
